the Tree Species

  • Named after the British-American botanist and ornithologist Thomas Nuttall.
  • Growing in popularity thanks to fast growth rate, ease of transplantation, durability, and vibrant fall colors.
  • Once known as Quercus nuttallii but changed to Q. Texana, which forced the renaming of the Texas Red Oak, now known as Q. buckleyi.
